Our first concert with a replacement drummer, Pädu Ziswiler! He is an absolutely fantastic, professional drummer that brings even more to an already quite refined trio sound! As we rocked the bar to an exciting level, screams of „I love you!“ could be heard from the crowd. All we have to say is „We love you, too!“ and thanks for being there.

After a short film intro, The Clam launched the evening with a song called Forbidden Love. Suddenly, Tommy’s sister, Barbara, was standing directly in front of the stage and her smile told me that everything was going to be OK. The jitters were gone and we played the next songs with the dynamic emotion that was meant to be. The highlight for us, and many others according to the feedback, was a song called Angel which gives me goose bumps every time I sing it.
Hey Tommy! Thanks for giving your music to this world. After playing and listening to your songs on this wonderful evening, I only have respect and admiration for the accomplishments of a true musical talent…Thomas Hösli

It was a beautiful day to celebrate the birth of Beatrice. Good food and good people made it a very enjoyable evening. We even got to play a little game! Everybody had to fill in a multiple choice questionnaire of actual places that exist in Switzerland. The good news is that I won the prize! A brand new road map of Switzerland! The bad news is that it was a prize for coming in last. 🙁
Yes, OK, so this Ami’s knowledge of actual Swiss locations is still lacking. I promise to spend some time studying the map of Switzerland that Beatrice was so kind enough to award me. 🙂

It was a great gig! Peach, the manager, had his 40th birthday (Happy Birthday!) and all of his friends were there to celebrate. There was a wave of shock through the „Hell’s Angels“ crowd as we started with a Frank Sinatra number, (Hey Peach, what is this? Where’s the rock and roll?) but they were all satisfied when we changed to our normal rockin‘ attitude. You know, you’ve got to start with a BANG to get their attention.
The evening included a Harley burning rubber in the bar (it was smokin‘) and a lot of good people (Claudia, Barbara, Chris, Christoph, James and more!). When we finished, the people were screaming to continue, but, you know how it is:
Leave the stage while they still want more!

Yes, Tony and Paco were so thrilled with our music that they asked us to play another Wednesday night. We had another rocking evening with our first „light show“ included. If you haven’t yet experienced this fine looking club on Wednesday nights, you are missing out! It’s located just behind the train station. When you get to the Radisson Hotel, walk around the outside to the back corner of the building to find the entrance. We’ll be playing there again soon and we hope that everyone comes by to check out this unique club in the heart of Luzern.

This is a really great new club located at the Hotel Radisson behind the train station. It was a Wednesday night, but we delivered a fine concert with a great crowd including Roger, James, Norina. Pepine, Beatrice, Derrick, Mark and more beautiful people. Dragi was playing like a hurricane on guitar and the wind was howling through my vocal chords to bring out the suppressed emotions of a very hard previous week. Thanks to everybody for coming along!

Well, I was really psyched about this gig because a lot of friends and acquaintances said they were going to be there, and they didn’t let us down. The place was packed, inside and out, and, for more than 3 hours, Mr. Pickwick was the rockinest place in town!
The Clam played with heart and soul, the people danced and sang along, the atmosphere was absolutely great and we loved basquing in the spotlight and the appreciation of the crowd. A big thanks to Jolanda for letting us play and a big heartfelt CHEERS to all of the staff and spectators. Let’s do it again soon!

It was a packed house by Tschuppi and Doris. Everybody loved the powerful sounds coming from the smallest stage in Luzern. I know that Iso was enjoying the music. He had tears in his eyes during our rendition of „Wherever You Will Go“. Dave was also rocking to The Clam’s own „Tell Me Why“. We had great fun and proved once again that The Clam is the tightest band around with a very unique sound called American Beat. There’s great food and drink in this comfortable atmosphere which also happens to be a no smoking zone for all. We had a good concert, even though it was limited to about 80db. It’s difficult to play White Wedding at 80db, but we managed to control ourselves and, believe it or not, the people loved it! Just goes to show you that music doesn’t have to be loud to be good.
The KulturBode is a great place for private parties, too. Don’t forget to tell Hanspeter and Rita that you want The Clam to play at your party!

Whoo, yeah, we were jammin‘ and having fun in conjunction with the World Cup party! The Swiss had a victory over South Korea and The Clam had a wonderful time rocking under the moonlight in the center courtyard of the building. I was really impressed with the atmosphere and the crowd. We didn’t get to see much of the game because many of the people just wanted to dance! A big thanks to Lucie and Elke for bringing us to such a wonderful night and, by the way, I loved the way everybody danced the night away.

There was certainly a bit of apprehension before the second set started because we were not sure if the audience would respond (paranoia pure). Well, guess what? Ghani was as friendly as ever and took care of the bands eating and drinking desires very well. Not only that, but we had the usual beautiful young girls there, too. Wow, this club was a great place to play and the crowd of 75 good people helped to make it a wonderful time! Hansi had a birthday, Elton had a turn on the stage, Dionne and René were movin‘ to the groovin‘, Ruedi passed out for a while on the couch (AFTER the concert was finished, of course) and my mother saw me LIVE for the first time!
